Originally conceived as an entry for the prestigious Booom challenge in 2022, hosted by the renowned game development community GCORES, CATO quickly captured the hearts of players and judges alike with its unique concept and delightful gameplay. After receiving overwhelming positive feedback and recognition, the passionate developers behind the initial game jam version decided to polish and expand their creation, giving birth to an official version of the game that now awaits players to dive into.
As players progress through the game, they’ll encounter a myriad of unique challenges that require them to harness the distinct abilities of both the cat and the toast. The cat is agile, with its incredible jumping prowess and nimble movements, while the buttered toast allows for smooth gliding along surfaces. Learning to harness the strengths of these characters and switch between them seamlessly is key to conquering the ever-increasing complexity of the puzzles.
