Maid of Sker takes inspiration from the haunting tales surrounding a Cistercian-built house, which just so happens to be a short journey from our very own Wales Interactive studio. Made famous by a Welsh ballad is the story of Elisabeth Williams, a tragic tale of a Welsh maiden who — in the 1800s — died of a broken heart after her father imprisoned her in her own room to stop her from marrying the man she loves.
Developed by us folk at Wales Interactive, we have enlisted the help of writing talent behind Don’t Knock Twice, Soma, Amnesia: Rebirth, and Battlefield 1. We also welcome Tia Kalmaru, who lends her spine-tingling voice to recreate some of the most famous Welsh hyms including “Calon Lân (A Pure Heart),” “Suo-Gân (Welsh Lullaby),” and “Ar Hyd Y Nos (All Through the Night).”
